Joynagar – ongoing projects
People have a lot of ideas how to support the kids and their families, limited only by the funds they get. So we try to support local initiatives as far as we can. Unfortunately most activities have stopped due to the pandemic and our main focus is on providing weekly rations for the families around Joynagar. We’ll keep you updated as soon as we are able to continue our projects!
- Creating a cooperative
After two years of the Covid-19 pandemic it is still difficult for unlearned workers to find jobs to maintain their life without help. So we’re creating a cooperative to give local families the chance to earn their living – producing products like ghee, honey and more.
More information to share soon…
Our second project will be creating a fish pond. From the day we start we expect to be able to sell the first fishes on the market after approximately 6 months and of course, prepare some West Bengal fish dishes for the kids.
